Mahogany's premium collection sets itself apart with a cashmere of outstanding excellence, rivalling two or three internationally renowned brands. This cashmere comes from the first combing of young goats, producing an exceptionally fine fibre of 13 to 14 microns — the finest in the world. To put this in perspective, the high-quality cashmere predominantly used by Mahogany measures 15.5 microns, while standard cashmere ranges between 16.5 and 17 microns.

The characteristics of the men's premium cashmere jumper

The fineness of the fibre directly influences the softness of the product: a finer fibre means unrivalled softness. From these exceptional goats, only a mere 30 grams is harvested per animal, compared with 100 to 200 grams from an adult goat. As a result, the availability of this superior quality remains limited worldwide to a few dozen tonnes each year. Furthermore, Mahogany's premium cashmere has an average staple length of 36 mm, identical to its other ranges, minimising pilling. Its "extra white" colour uses only the purest fibres, avoiding bleaching agents that could compromise fibre quality.
