Premium cashmere
Our Premium collection is designed for cashmere enthusiasts in search of the finest and rarest fibres.
The cashmere used for the PUCCI PREMIUM has an exceptional fineness of approximately 13 to 14 microns, compared with approximately 15.5 microns for the high-quality cashmere predominantly used in our collections.
This fibre comes from the first combing of young cashmere goats. Each animal yields only a very small quantity of this particularly fine down, in the order of 30 grams, which contributes to the rarity of this quality.
The finer the fibre, the more remarkable the sensation of softness against the skin.
Carefully selected long fibres
Beyond its fineness, the quality of a cashmere also depends on the length of its fibres.
Those selected for our Premium collection have an average length of approximately 36 mm. Long fibres allow for a more even yarn and help to limit pilling over time.
The selection also pays particular attention to the natural colour of the down.
Our Premium cashmere is of Extra White quality: only the naturally whitest fibres are selected. This selection allows colours to be rendered with greater purity, without resorting to bleaching that could alter the natural qualities of the fibre.
