The timeless elegance of the cashmere polo
The TARN captivates with the understated lines and the fineness of its knit. Its polo collar with three tonal buttons allows you to vary the way it is worn according to your mood: fastened for an elegant, structured look, or slightly open for a more relaxed silhouette.
Its straight cut ensures a natural and comfortable fit, whilst the 6 cm ribbed cuffs at the wrists and hem harmoniously structure the silhouette.
Easy to style, the TARN can be worn equally well with jeans or chinos for a relaxed look as with wool trousers for a more sophisticated silhouette.
To discover one of our great classics available all year round, you will also find the ALEXANDRE, available in more than 40 colours and eight sizes.
The craftsmanship
Knitted in 2-ply, the cashmere offers a fine, supple and particularly soft knit. This weight allows the TARN to retain a beautiful lightness whilst providing the natural comfort and warmth inherent to this exceptional material.
The polo collar with three tonal buttons is crafted with precision to ensure a regular line and a beautiful neckline hold. The 6 cm ribbed cuffs at the wrists and hem structure the style whilst preserving the comfort and suppleness of the knit.
Every detail is carefully crafted to ensure a harmonious drape and an excellent hold over time.
The First collection
The TARN belongs to our First collection, a selection of styles crafted in limited runs from surplus new cashmere yarns, carefully selected from specialist Nepalese spinning mills.
Since 2005, we have been working with our partners in Nepal, a country recognised for its ancestral expertise in working cashmere and precious fibres.
We thus purchase very small quantities of yarn, too limited to be used by manufacturers working in large runs, yet perfectly suited to our expertise in handmade and small-batch production.
These materials are transformed in our workshop in Nepal, where each piece is handmade, to the same standards of craftsmanship, finishing and quality control as the rest of our collections.
This approach allows us to give new life to existing yarns that might otherwise have remained unused, whilst offering cashmere creations at particularly considered prices.
This is what we at Mahogany call premium recycling: giving a new purpose to new materials already available, by transforming them by hand into exclusive creations produced in small quantities.
